Bay windows bring a lot more kerb appeal to a property then normal standard windows. They can make a property stand out and can make a property look more expensive if they are done in the correct way. If bay windows are done in the wrong way and are not fitted correctly it can put some house buyers off as they can be expensive to fix. Not only are they attractive from the outside but they can add an extra something to the property. Most houses with bay windows will have them up stairs and downstairs, they are normally identical in shape and size. Having matching windows upstairs and down will be expected by anyone looking at buying a property.
Apart from old properties having bay windows a lot of modern day homes now have them. Depending on how big they are they can add a lot of extra space to a room and make it seem a lot airier. The main purpose of a window is to let in light and be able to see in and out of. Bay windows are made up of three windows rather the one so they create a shape which will let in more light. It can catch light on all three sides so will make the room a lot brighter. This can be great if you have a south facing room which will let sun in all day long. This can be why bay windows are normally in your main living space and main master bedroom. Bay windows are in more cases then not are only at the front of the property.
With the extra space that a bay window provides you can use this for extra storage space or it can be a nice idea to make a seating area to read a book or just enjoy the view.
